This Weekend
The First XV are playing their annual fixture on Saturday against the Royal Artillery in the Wilkes Cup (named after our extremely popular former Lieutenant Governor); the Club would like to take this opportunity to raise money for a wonderful Charity 'Holidays for Heroes'.This is a Jersey-based Charity that pays for soldiers wounded in action to enjoy a holiday in the island; what a tremendous way to show these brave men our gratitude - please come up to support this fund raising.
There is a lunch organised, places are still available, contact Nicky on 07829 801493 if you would like to dine and be part of the occasion.
Last weekend our U19s were knocked out of the National Colts Cup by Petersfield, who have been unbeaten over the last couple of seasons; however our team now enters the Plate competition and has been drawn at home (at last) against Twickenham Colts, the game to be played on the weekend 6th/7th December.
On a much sadder note the funeral of the extremely popular former Banks second-row, Jerry King, takes place at St Marks Church 12.30 this friday; I am sure all those who played with and against Jerry would like to attend and pay their respects.
